100% Design is the UK’s largest design trade event and central to the melting pot of creativity, ideas and celebration of design that forms the London Design Festival (‘LDF’).
The show attracts tens of thousands of visitors, both national and international, keen to do business and see the latest innovations and product launches. Therefore, protecting the Intellectual Property rights (‘IP’) of exhibitors showing at 100% Design continues to be of paramount importance.
This year, 100% Design is proud to announce a new partnership with Creative Barcode, an incredibly innovative company at the forefront of digital IP.
The partnership will operate under an IP policy ‘Admire the Work Acknowledge the Rights’ and will dedicate the 18th September to IP activities such as one to one meetings with lawyers from some of the UK’s leading legal firms specialising in creative industries.
The lawyers and IP advisors will be based in the International Business Centre where Exhibitors and visitors can drop in and ask a specific question or book a free 30 minute, one to one session in advance via www.creativebarcode.com/events
In the afternoon the team intend to hold a debate between lawyers, designers and brands on the subject of the proposed changes to Design Rights law which include introducing criminal sanctions for blatant copying of designs. Further details will be announced shortly.
